Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Desirae Spignor. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, integrating my education and lived experience into my practice

My approach to therapy

The goal of therapy is overall wellness and whatever that may look like for you. Creating a safe space that is trauma-informed, resilience-oriented, and culturally humble for people to heal. I use an eclectic approach that incorporates the principles of DBT and ACT to support with implementing wellness tools, grounding techniques, and being in the moment.

What you can expect from me

As you focus on clearing your generational trauma, do not forget to claim your generational strengths. Your ancestors gave you more than just wounds. XAVIER DAGBA, For me, the above quote perfectly explains why I became a counselor/social worker. My educational background includes a BSW and MSW in Social Work from California State University Sacramento. I understand that no single approach is the "right one". My goal is to create a safe space so people are able to address their symptoms.
