Desiree Gbarbea

I’m Desiree, a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management to adults in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood changes, attention concerns, sleep difficulties, and challenging life transitions.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, unable to focus, or simply unlike yourself—and you may not know exactly why. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can begin by talking about what you have been experiencing and work together to determine what support may be helpful.

My approach to care is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. I take time to understand your concerns, life experiences, and treatment goals before making recommendations. Together, we will discuss medication options and other practical strategies that may support your mental health. I want you to feel heard, informed, and actively involved in every treatment decision.

During your first session, we will discuss your current concerns, how they are affecting you, and what you hope to improve. I will also review your medical and mental health history, current medications, and previous treatment experiences. You will have the opportunity to ask questions as we discuss treatment options and determine the next steps together. I look forward to meeting you!
