Great to meet you!

I received my Masters from UT Arlington in Social Work. I am EMDR trained. I completed Cognitive Behavorial Therapy for Weight Management. I am DNMS certified (parts work therapy). I am a former personal trainer. I specialize with depression, trauma, and relationships with food/body.

Listening, safety, empathy, humor, and encouragement are qualities I bring to the therapeutic relationship.

I enjoy quality time with friends, adventure, traveling, exercise, personal development, and my two cats.

My approach to therapy

I'm down 170 lbs down and I believe I can help you do the same by cultivating love for yourself, love for your body, healing from any trauma, and creating a healthy relationship with food. You are not alone. If you feel that regular therapy has not helped, you are in the right place. Talk therapy is beneficial. Experiential therapy such as those I specialize in, can improve your quality of life, help you feel true love for yourself, decrease triggers from past trauma, and allow you to establish a healthy relationship with food and your body.

Techniques: Client Centered, CBT, DBT, EMDR, SFT, DNMS, Mindfulness, and Positive Psych.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to find healing for their soul and body as we explore the past and present components of their lives. There will sometimes be homework between sessions. I find that the clients who progress the most are able to apply the work begun in a session, outside of the therapeutic environment.

Any goals created are developed based on the clients needs and my skill set. I help clients find healing, especially through EMDR, that they may have been seeking for decades.
