Despina Pittas

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified Behavioral Health Screener. I have over 20 years of experience in crisis intervention, education and prevention, grief and loss, family conflict, depression, addictions and assessments. I am able to diffuse stressful situations, manage all types of personalities, and work with diverse populations in one-on-one, family and group settings. I work with adolescents, families and young adults.

I provide a humanistic, holistic, person-centered form of psychotherapy that is focused on a person's present life and challenges. I help clients understand balance and polarities, gain awareness, present-centeredness, work through unfinished business, and understand the importance of personal responsibility. When people have hope and can learn to challenge and replace negative thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, people are free to experience change.
