Great to meet you!

I'm so excited you are taking this step!

I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with tween, teens, and young adults with trauma, anxiety, depression, and chronic illness/pain. I have spent many years working with children and families in a hospital setting, inpatient and intensive outpatient programs, as well as providing therapy individual therapy. I welcome the opportunity to work with you and your child.

My approach to therapy

Building a trusting relationship is one of the most important approaches to therapy. Humor and having unconditional positive regard for those I treat help us to do the work. I take a holistic approach which means I not only look at the problem, but what is the problem affecting and what is affecting the problem. I am trained in EMDR, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. I use art, play, and other modalities to reach my clients.

What you can expect from me

In the first meeting, I will listen and learn more about you and/or your child and the circumstances that cause distress. Together we will discuss your goals and what you hope to gather from therapy. We will then create a plan to meet your needs.
