Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Destiny Lyals and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have been in the mental health field for over 8 years. I hold a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counselung from Stetson University. I specialize in working with clients of color, the LGBTQIA+ community and educators.

My approach to therapy

I work from a client centered perspective, which allows the clientto be the expert in their world. My goal is to create a safe space where clients feel like they can discuss whatever they choose and walk away with something useful after each session. I utilize, mostly Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, while borrowing from other theories to create an electic tool set for clients.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, we will spend some time getting to know one another, gather information about what is bringing you to services and determining your goals for treatment.
