Great to meet you!

I’m Destiny Parker, a counselor, educator, and wellness advocate who believes healing happens when people feel seen, safe, and supported as their full selves.

In my clinical work, I support individuals who are managing stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the lingering effects of trauma. I have a particular passion for working with educators, caregivers, and helping professionals who often prioritize everyone else while quietly carrying their own emotional load. I also work with adolescents and young adults as they navigate self-esteem, peer relationships, identity exploration, and emotional resilience.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded. I integrate evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, strengths-based approaches, and trauma-informed care, while also honoring the importance of cultural context, spirituality, and personal values when relevant to the client. I strive to create a space where clients feel empowered, not judged, and actively involved in their healing process.

At the heart of my work is the belief that wellness is not about perfection. It’s about balance, intention, and learning how to care for yourself with the same compassion you offer others. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, tools, and support as you move toward clarity, healing, and sustainable well-being.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a relaxed, supportive conversation focused on getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you’d like support with. We’ll also review confidentiality, boundaries, and what therapy looks like so you feel informed and comfortable.

There’s no pressure to share everything at once or have the right words. You set the pace. By the end of the session, we may identify initial goals and determine whether this feels like a good fit. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, supported, and respected.
