Great to meet you!
Growing up, I lived in eight different states, usually on a farm, worked with horses and cattle, played sports, and competed in playing/singing music. At one point, I was able to play eight different instruments; however, most of those skills have gone by the wayside as in my early 20s, I became legally blind. After graduating with my bachelor’s degree, I had difficulty using my degree due to adjusting to my new disability. Eventually, I started working as a Behavior Health Specialist and developed a passion for working in the behavior health field. I enrolled in two Master’s degree programs and eventually earned two Master’s degrees in Substance Abuse Counseling, and later Professional counseling.
Currently, I spend most of my free time being active as a father, a husband, volunteering in my Christian faith, and teaching English to people who cannot speak English at a local college. My family includes my wife, a 17-year-old son, a seven-year-old daughter, and several animals.
