Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Devonna Curry, LICSW, MSW, an independently licensed clinical social worker passionate about supporting individuals navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions (e.g., employment and relationships), women’s wellness concerns, and emotional overwhelm. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment.

With over five years of experience across healthcare and mental health settings, including primary care, outpatient psychotherapy, geriatrics, and OBGYN (postpartum), I bring a holistic perspective to the therapeutic process. My approach is grounded in helping clients gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop greater self-awareness and confidence.

I strive to create a supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, identify their strengths, and work toward meaningful personal growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe that healing looks different for everyone, and I strive to meet each client where they are while creating an emotionally safe and supportive environment.

I use an integrative, strengths-based approach that focuses on identifying your existing strengths while helping you develop practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, difficult emotions, and life transitions. Together, we will explore patterns, increase self-awareness, build healthy coping strategies, and work toward meaningful goals that align with your values. I believe therapy is a partnership, and I am committed to helping you create lasting change while honoring your unique experiences and needs.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic foundation. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant life experiences, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive space where you can share at your own pace. I will ask questions to better understand your background, strengths, challenges, and goals while also answering any questions you may have about the therapy process. By the end of our first session, we will begin identifying areas of focus and collaborate on a plan that feels meaningful and tailored to your needs. You can expect a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you feel supported from the very beginning.
