Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome. My name is Dewayne Pinkney, and I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I have been a licensed therapist for more than 12 years, providing support to individuals, children, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their strengths.

My work is grounded in a simple but powerful belief: every person has good within them, and every journey has the potential to be meaningful and fulfilling. Growth begins with a single step, and I am committed to walking alongside you as you take it.

In my practice, I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Whether you’re dealing with stress, grief, anxiety, life transitions, or simply seeking clarity and direction, my goal is to help you uncover your resilience and move toward a healthier, more empowered version of yourself.

Your journey can be great — and I’m here to help you begin it with confidence and hope.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach blends Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Reality Therapy, and Person‐Centered Therapy. This combination allows me to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; take meaningful responsibility for the choices that shape their lives; and experience a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they feel genuinely heard and valued.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my priority is to build genuine rapport. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable, understood, and able to be yourself. I take a relational, down‐to‐earth approach—using shared experiences, relatable conversation, and a touch of natural, appropriate humor to help ease tension and create a welcoming space.

While we begin exploring your goals and what brought you to therapy, I also focus on getting to know you as a person. I want you to feel seen, not analyzed. My goal is for you to walk away from that first session feeling lighter, supported, and confident that you’re in the right place.
