Great to meet you!

My style is warm, supportive and collaborative with an emphasis on empathy and active listening so you can feel heard and understood. My strengths lie in my ability to build a safe therapeutic relationship where you can articulate and build lasting positive change. I will help you identify goals for therapy, identify your strengths and encourage you to practice helpful strategies for coping and positive change. I have practiced psychotherapy for 20 years and for 10 years prior to that, I provided mental health supportive counseling and case management. I have worked extensively in schools, non-profits, hospitals and private practice with adults, youth, and couples. People come with a variety of concerns that include anxiety, life changes, grief and loss, and a desire to make a change so they can feel and function better. And all want to feel more fully whole and courageously authentic. I look forward to hearing your personal story and how we can work together to help you rebuild your inner strength and sense of self.

My approach to therapy

My approach is defined by YOUR needs. There is no one-size-fits-all therapy because you are unique. All of the modalities I have learned and integrated are to help YOU access your inner wisdom. I use a holistic lens and consider all of the elements and diverse needs that you bring to therapy. Some of the modalities I use include CBT, DBT, Solution Oriented, Strength Based, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, EMDR, Psychodynamic, and person centered.
