Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Diana Arredondo, a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 8 years of experience supporting individuals of all ages through a variety of mental health and life challenges, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. I graduated from college in 2018 and have continued to grow professionally through diverse experiences in the mental health field.

I’m proud to have opened my own private practice, Sunset Counseling Center PLLC, in McAllen, Texas, where I welcome children, teens, young adults, and adults seeking support in a comfortable, judgment-free environment. I believe therapy should be approachable, genuine, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and experiences.

My counseling style is high-energy, humorous, and relatable. I strive to create a space where clients of all ages feel comfortable being themselves, heard, understood, and supported. My experience working in a juvenile detention center has strengthened my ability to connect with youth who may feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or hesitant to trust others.

At Sunset Counseling Center PLLC, my goal is to meet every client where they are and work alongside them toward meaningful growth, healthier coping skills, and positive change. I accept insurance plans and welcome new clients of all ages.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, your teenager, or a loved one, you are welcome at Sunset Counseling Center PLLC. I look forward to creating a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard, valued, and empowered on your journey toward better mental health.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, genuine, and relatable. I believe therapy should be a safe, judgment-free space where clients of all ages feel heard, understood, and supported. I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs and goals while using humor, honesty, and practical tools to make the process comfortable and meaningful. My goal is to help clients build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and create positive change in their lives.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a relaxed and welcoming environment where we get to know each other, discuss what brings them to therapy, and identify their goals. I’ll answer any questions they may have and make sure they feel comfortable and supported. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out-we’ll take it one step at a time.
