Great to meet you!

I’m a clinical and forensic psychologist in sunny southern California and I specialize in all things trauma. My journey into the field started with a curiosity to understand the human brain and behaviors. This curiosity led me to wanting to learn everything about the complicated dynamics of domestic violence. From there, I worked with survivors and have developed a deep appreciation for their traumas and focusing on the resilience that kept them moving. So, whether you have experienced some sort of trauma, are questioning reality, or feeling overwhelmed and depressed, I'm here to help you understand yourself, unpack overwhelming emotions, and begin your new journey in life. You may not be the same person you were before, but you absolutely can move from survivor, to thriver.

My approach to therapy

I use a structured yet flexible approach to treatment that will help you understand unhealthy ways of thinking. You will be guided into looking at your automatic thought processes from a new perspective, have moments of insight, and better understand some of these old habits that have shaped your thoughts and behaviors.

Throughout our time together I will strive to understand how you best receive information so I can be as effective in my communication with you as possible. I am a firm believer of being honest, transparent, and clear in a supportive way to help you better understand yourself. You will always be confident I mean what I say, and say what I mean.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be a little different than the rest. I'll ask many questions to understand your experience and symptoms from your perspective. I'll get as many details from you as possible to give me a foundation of what I can help you with. I know it may be scary to open up to a stranger so quickly but know I'll try to make it as light as possible!
