I love working with clients who believe they are "too hard". Some have even been told by other professionals they are too complex. As a clinical social worker with a WIDE range of experiences, I love combining my knowledge with a client's expertise in their experiences to help them become who they want to be.
I love offering clients options, so will often describe two types of treatment types for a client to choose from. My most common combination is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or Internal Family Systems (IFS), however I also use Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, executive functioning skills development, and others.
My goal for each client is for them to get to a point in the process where they say, "Hey Diana. It's been great, but I don't feel like I need to come back." We create goals together in session and work to complete these together.
