Great to meet you!

Hello my name is Diana Chavez and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my undergrad at Mount St. Mary’s College in Liberal Arts and Gerontology. I attained my Master’s degree in Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute. For the past 15 years I have worked in a variety of backgrounds and cultures in the mental health field. I have worked in diverse settings including intensive outpatient therapy, private practice, and field base settings.

My approach to therapy

I have specialized in working with adults and couples on issues that affect their personal, social, and emotional well-being. I am a culturally sensitive therapist who specializes in using an array of modalities including Cognitive Behavior, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused, Positive Psychology to name a few. I am strength-based in my approach and believe you have the tools and skills you need to be successful.

What you can expect from me

For us to do our best work together, the therapeutic relationship needs to be strong and authentic. The ability to challenge your behaviors and invest in yourself, is the most empowering feeling you can gain from therapy. We all have personal life challenges and the need to feel heard, therefore, I feel honored to join you in this journey of self-awareness, self-love, and self-worth.
