Great to meet you!

I have almost twenty years experience working with children, teens, and adults experiencing mental health struggles. I feel confident working with clients and families in crisis. I have extensive experience in DBT therapy, and I believe that everyone can learn skills that will help them build a life worth living.

My approach to therapy

I am fully trained in DBT and EMDR. I believe a therapist's role is to help the client identify what they want, work through the obstacles that keep them having the life they desire, and be a partner and coach as they learn and practice new skills and new insights.

What you can expect from me

In the first sessions, I want to get to know my client and what brings them to therapy. I want to understand the context of their lives, how the problem developed, and help them define their goals. I want to assess their needs and strengths, and I want them to feel comfortable sharing with me. I want my clients to feel confident that I want to help them, and also believe that they are capable of helping themselves.
