Great to meet you!

Welcome! If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just tired of being the strong one, I offer a safe, welcoming space where you can be heard. This is your time! My style is open, down-to-earth and attentive. I will listen without judgement to what matters to you: patterns you've been living with, strengths you rely on, and fears and hopes you might not have voiced yet.

My approach to therapy

I have worked for many years in palliative care and hospice with people living with serious illness. I understand that loss can come in many forms, whether it's loss of a person, identity, abilities, or a home. The list goes on...

I am especially interested in the loss that can come with evolving religious beliefs. Maybe you're in full deconstruction mode and have lost the religious community you used to rely on. Or maybe you're still practicing but are rethinking your approach. Having been raised in a high control religious community, I know firsthand what it is like to deconstruct deeply held beliefs and the avalanche that can come with it. It's hard work! It can be so helpful to process these things out loud as you move forward with intention and most of all, self-compassion, as you build the life and identity you choose.

What you can expect from me

In our first session I want to get to know you, your priorities and what brought you to therapy. Together we'll identify your goals and go from there. I will not tell you what to do. I'm not a therapist because I have it all figured out, but because I know how helpful it is to process complicated thoughts and feelings. If you're ready to take this next step in your journey, please don't hesitate to reach out.
