Great to meet you!

Sometimes you understand why you’re struggling and still can’t seem to change how you feel or react. Anxiety may keep you anticipating what could go wrong, depression can make it difficult to reconnect with yourself, relationship patterns may continue repeating, or experiences from the past can still feel surprisingly present. I provide individual therapy for adults in Texas, with a focus on anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and PTSD. I also support clients navigating family stress, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ concerns, cultural and ethnic experiences, identity exploration, women’s issues, maternal mental health, and the pressure that can come with trying to balance different roles and expectations. Using my experience, my goal is to create a warm, empowering space where you can understand what has shaped you without feeling defined by it and begin building a life that feels more intentional, connected, and manageable.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy can help you make sense of the past while giving you practical ways to live differently in the present. Anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, or PTSD may be what initially brings you in, while grief, family dynamics, identity, cultural experiences, or major changes in your life can add important layers to what you’re carrying. We’ll explore how those pieces connect rather than treating each concern as a separate problem. Depending on your needs, I may use EMDR and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help process experiences that continue to affect you today, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy to examine beliefs and thought patterns that contribute to distress, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you make room for difficult emotions while staying connected to your values. I may also incorporate Motivational Interviewing, Strength Based Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy to build on what is already working and turn insight into realistic next steps.

What you can expect from me

You won’t be expected to revisit painful experiences before we’ve created enough trust and safety to do that work meaningfully. Our first few sessions will focus on understanding what brought you to therapy, how your current challenges are affecting your life, and what you genuinely hope will be different. Together, we’ll develop goals that reflect your priorities and decide which approaches make the most sense for you. My style is warm, empowering, and solution oriented, so you can expect space to process difficult emotions alongside conversations that help you identify patterns, recognize strengths, and practice new ways of responding. Progress may look like feeling less controlled by anxiety or past trauma, changing recurring relationship patterns, reconnecting with yourself during depression, setting healthier boundaries, or making choices that feel more aligned with who you are and what matters to you. My hope is that therapy helps you understand your story more clearly while feeling increasingly confident about what you want the next chapter to look like.
