Great to meet you!

Hi – I'm Diana, a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care to adults navigating complex mental health challenges. My passion for psychiatry stems from a deep belief that every person deserves to be truly seen and understood—not reduced to a diagnosis, but honored as a whole person with unique experiences, strengths, and aspirations.

Throughout my clinical training and practice, I've developed expertise in treating conditions that often feel isolating and overwhelming: ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, OCD, personality disorders, PTSD, psychosis, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, mood disorders, and bipolar disorder. I understand that many of my clients have spent years searching for providers who truly "get it"—who won't rush through appointments or offer cookie-cutter solutions that don't fit their reality.

What sets my practice apart is my commitment to building genuine therapeutic relationships. I take the time to listen deeply, understand your story, and collaborate with you on treatment goals that reflect what matters most to you. Whether you're managing one condition or multiple overlapping challenges, I approach your care with clinical expertise grounded in empathy and respect.

I recognize the extraordinary courage it takes to seek help and to keep showing up for yourself, especially when living with mental health conditions that others may not fully understand. My role is to walk alongside you as a partner in your healing journey—offering evidence-based treatment, honest communication, and unwavering support as we work toward the stability, peace, and quality of life you deserve.

Mental health care should feel like hope, not another burden. I'm here to provide exactly that.

My approach to therapy

Every person who enters my practice deserves treatment as unique as they are. My philosophy of care is grounded in genuine partnership. I am firmly convinced that the strongest outcomes emerge when my clinical knowledge and training unite with your personal perspective and understanding of your own needs. I prioritize forging a connection founded on trust, mutual respect, and transparent communication.

For medication management, I take a purposeful, personalized approach that recognizes you as a whole individual. I dedicate time to comprehending your symptoms, history, earlier treatments, and individual aspirations. I hold firm belief in informed consent and collaborative decision-making, candidly outlining the reasoning behind particular medication recommendations, examining alternative paths, and discussing potential side effects with complete openness and honesty.

I cultivate a nonjudgmental space where you can express yourself freely about your difficulties, worries, and progress. I appreciate that finding the optimal medication frequently requires adjustment and patience, and I am here to accompany you through every stage of that process. I track your treatment response with close attention, check in consistently about your experience, and refine our direction whenever needed to strengthen your results.

Beyond prescriptions, I am authentically curious about the broader landscape of your life and total wellness. I will explore stressors, coping methods, relational dynamics, sleep habits, and additional factors that shape your mental health. Your feedback is indispensable. The more openly we communicate, the more precisely we can tailor your care to match what your everyday reality truly requires.

My aim is guiding you toward meaningful progress, not merely in symptom management but across your wider quality of life. You deserve thoughtful, compassionate, evidence-based care, and providing exactly that is my steadfast commitment.

What you can expect from me

From the very beginning, I want you to know this is a safe, welcoming space where you can speak freely about your experiences. Your first appointment is focused on understanding you—not simply as a patient, but as a person with unique experiences, challenges, and strengths.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, mood fluctuations, or other mental health concerns, I will listen attentively and ask thoughtful questions to fully grasp your situation. I will explore how your symptoms influence different areas of your life—work performance, personal relationships, self-care habits, and overall functioning.

We will review your mental health history, including previous diagnoses, treatments, hospitalizations, and experiences with other providers. Understanding what you have already tried helps me avoid repeating ineffective approaches and build upon what has proven beneficial. I will also ask about your medical history, current medications, and family mental health background, as these factors meaningfully shape treatment planning.

When discussing medication options, I prioritize clear, straightforward communication. My clinical experience across a broad range of conditions means I am well equipped to guide you with both confidence and compassion. I will explain how different medications function, why I might suggest one over another for your particular circumstances, and what to anticipate regarding benefits and timeline. We will address side effects openly so you can reach a fully informed decision. I recognize that medication is not the right fit for everyone, and I will never pressure you toward treatment that does not feel appropriate.

We will also explore lifestyle factors, stress management strategies, and whether additional resources could be valuable. You will leave with a personalized treatment plan and a clear understanding of next steps, supported by a dedicated partner invested in your recovery and lasting wellbeing.
