Great to meet you!

You can be doing everything right and still feel like anxiety or an old hurt is running the show. I'm Diana, a licensed clinical social worker in Texas, and I work with teens, adults, and families carrying more than they talk about: anxiety that will not switch off, grief, trauma that still shapes the day, or a relationship circling the same fight. I offer sessions in English and Spanish, which matters when you want to think and feel in the language that comes most naturally to you, and I meet people exactly where they are, whether that is a teenager, an adult juggling a full life, or a family trying to understand each other again.

My approach to therapy

I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR to help you understand the patterns anxiety and trauma create, and to process difficult memories so they stop running the show. With individuals and families, I use Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy to rebuild communication and trust. I also lean on Motivational Interviewing and a strength-based approach, so sessions build on what is already working for you, not just what feels broken. In sessions I help you notice the patterns that keep anxiety or old hurt in charge, and we work through hard memories at a pace that feels safe, so they carry less weight over time.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know each other: what brought you here, what you have already tried, and what you want to feel different. From there we build a plan together, at your pace, with real tools you can use between sessions. You do not have to have it all figured out before you reach out. Most people start therapy mid struggle, not after they have solved it, and that is exactly the right time. Sessions are virtual, so you can show up from wherever feels comfortable. If you are ready for things to feel lighter and more like your own, I would be glad to work with you.
