Great to meet you!

As a licensed therapist with over 20 years experience in mental health services, I specialize in helping adults and teens manage their symptoms of ADHD and Anxiety and supporting women on their journeys toward personal fulfillment and finding their superhero within. My focus is on fostering heartfelt connection with my clients to create a safe environment for them to work through their struggles. Through our work, clients are able to learn strategies to release their emotional burdens and build confidence in their abilities to navigate challenges. A few of my core values are authenticity, connection, humor, inner harmony, and growth. In every interaction I strive to generate positive energy and warmth to ensure others know they are seen and heard.

My approach to therapy

I am a strong believer that each individual has an inner strength and power that can be unlocked through authentic connection and compassion. Through exploring a client's unique stories, experiences, and needs I help support them in discovering their courage and their voice. My approach is typically a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (which includes practical and creative skill building to help manage emotions and improve daily functioning) with Person-Centered Therapy (which focuses on empowerment and self-actualization). I believe that laughter can provide just as much therapeutic benefit as tears and welcome them both in our sessions.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will explore what you hope to gain from therapy and how my style can support you to ensure we are a good fit. We will establish some goals so you can track your progress as we move forward. Throughout our time together I will listen, ask questions, sometimes teach, and always support and guide you to find the answers you seek. This is definitely a joint effort, so I invite you to reflect and ask questions about our work together, as transparency and authenticity are important to our process.
