Great to meet you!

I am a clinical social worker with over a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through trauma, crisis, school challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, and major life transitions. My work centers on creating a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change.

My background spans schools, domestic violence services, county child welfare, foster care, and mental health residential settings. I specialize in helping young people and families navigate stressors related to mental health, academics, family systems, and social-emotional functioning. Through a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens, I guide clients in developing insight, building coping skills, and strengthening resilience.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel supportive, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I draw from:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma-Informed Care
  • Strengths-Based & Client-Centered Approaches
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Psychoeducation & Skills-Building

Together, we will explore what’s working, what feels stuck, and what supports you need to move forward. I meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to each person’s pace, comfort, and goals.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a structured yet calming environment centered on safety, openness, and collaboration. I’ll guide us through a thoughtful assessment to understand your history, current challenges, and what you’re hoping to change or improve. Because I take a trauma-informed approach, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, checking in often and making sure the conversation feels grounding rather than overwhelming.

We’ll explore the concerns that brought you in, identify your strengths, and talk about what support you need right now. I’ll also walk you through how therapy works, answer any questions, and ensure the process feels clear and approachable. By the end of the session, we’ll identify a few immediate priorities and begin shaping a realistic, personalized plan for moving forward together.
