Great to meet you!
After completion of a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Regis University, I began doing clinical work in the context of my education and training in graduate work in 1997, pursuing first my Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Denver Seminary completed in 2002, and, after completing a one-year Pre-Doctoral Internship at the Colorado State Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan, completed my doctorate degree, PhD in Counseling Psychology, from the University of Denver in 2008. I worked for 7 years at Adult Intensive Services for Aurora Mental Health Center, and 2 years at the Mental Health Center of Denver. For the last 11 years I have worked with veterans at the Denver VA Medical Center (now Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, CO). I continue this full-time employment. All of these 20 years of experience have included working with individuals with mental illness across all categories including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, grief and loss, women's issues, aging issues and major life transitions, among others.
