Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner providing compassionate, evidence-based care for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, and other mental health concerns. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their treatment.

Before specializing in psychiatry, I worked for several years as a nurse in high-acuity hospital settings including intensive care and emergency care. This experience allows me to approach mental health treatment with a broad understanding of how physical health, stress, and life circumstances affect emotional well-being.

In my practice, I focus on comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, thoughtful medication management, and practical strategies that help patients improve daily functioning and overall quality of life. I commonly work with individuals dealing with anxiety, burnout, focus difficulties, mood symptoms, and life transitions.

I believe effective treatment comes from a collaborative partnership. Together we will develop a personalized treatment plan that supports both symptom relief and long-term wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, practical, and individualized. I believe effective mental health treatment begins with listening carefully to each person’s story and gaining a full understanding of their symptoms, life circumstances, and goals.

During our initial evaluation, we will take the time to explore your concerns in depth and identify the factors that may be contributing to how you are feeling. From there, we work together to create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. This may include thoughtful medication management, supportive therapeutic strategies, and practical tools that help improve daily functioning and overall well-being.

I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral strategies, mindfulness-based techniques, and strengths-focused care to help patients develop healthier thought patterns, coping skills, and resilience. My goal is not only to reduce symptoms but also to support long-term mental wellness and personal growth.

I strive to create a respectful, judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions, discussing treatment options, and actively participating in their care.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will focus on getting a comprehensive understanding of what brings you to treatment and what you hope to improve. I will ask questions about your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, lifestyle, and any factors that may be affecting your well-being. This helps ensure we take a thoughtful and complete approach to your care.

The first appointment is also an opportunity for you to share your concerns openly and ask any questions about treatment. Together we will discuss possible diagnoses, review treatment options, and begin developing a personalized plan that may include medication management, therapeutic strategies, or lifestyle adjustments depending on your needs and goals.

My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you feel heard and respected. By the end of the first session, most patients leave with a clearer understanding of their symptoms and a plan for the next steps in treatment.
