I am Dieula Joseph, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) based in Texas. I specialize in the connection between mental health and substance use, working as a dual-diagnosis psychotherapist. I strongly believe in each individual’s capacity for growth, healing, and achieving meaningful, fulfilling goals.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and holistic. I focus on identifying and building upon each client’s individual strengths while addressing the connection between mental health and substance use. I help clients develop practical skills such as problem-solving, emotional regulation, and anger management, while also fostering greater self-awareness around how their behaviors and choices affect themselves and others. My goal is to support clients in creating meaningful change, personal growth, and long-term emotional well-being.
During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment where we begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We will discuss your concerns, goals, and personal strengths, and explore how mental health or how substance use may be impacting your life. This session is also an opportunity to outline a personalized treatment plan and establish a clear path forward toward growth and positive change.
