Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Dil Subawalla and I am a Licensed Clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience. I have worked with various populations with diverse cultural backgrounds. At present, I primarily work with adults (18+) struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss as well as relationship problems.

My approach to therapy

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe therapy can only be succesful when the client feels safe enough to trust the therapist as well as the process of therapy. A large focus of my therapeutic approach is really listening to the client and empowering them to make the necessary changes to have a fulfilling life. I use a holistic approach utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy in conjunction with other treatment modalities.

What you can expect from me

The first few sessions involve getting to know each other and developing a positive, judgment-free, supportive therapeutic relationship, as well as creating a safe environment for you to share comfortably and begin the healing process. As therapy progresses, you will gain insight into the thoughts, emotions and behaviors that are impacting your life and with compassionate but direct guidance you will learn new tools to achieve healing and strength.
