Great to meet you!

My name is Dina Araujo, and I became a therapist because I believe deeply in the power of healing, resilience, and human connection. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over two decades of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families, I have dedicated my career to creating safe, compassionate spaces where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood.

My professional journey spans both clinical mental health and school counseling, giving me a unique perspective on the emotional challenges people face throughout different stages of life. I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, and the everyday weight of simply being human. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or searching for greater balance, my goal is to help you develop the insight, confidence, and practical tools needed to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and strengths-based interventions, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the individual. I believe that every person's story is different, and therapy should honor that. Rather than focusing on "fixing" people, my goal is to empower clients to reconnect with their inner strengths, cultivate self-compassion, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change that aligns with their values and authentic selves.

What you can expect from me

I know that first session can feel nerve wracking and I want you to know that is completely okay. You do not need to have it all together when you walk in. That is literally what I am here for.

We will spend our time getting to know each other and building our therapeutic alliance. You will share what brought you here, as much or as little as you are comfortable with, and we will start to get a sense of what you are hoping therapy can do for your life. I want to understand not just what is hurting but who you are at your core. Your values, your resilience, and the future you are working toward.

Together we will start building a plan that actually fits your life. A plan that is real and personal to you. And I promise you this. No matter what you share, you will leave that first session feeling seen, supported, and like hope is not as far away as it might feel right now.
