Great to meet you!

After earning a Masters at the University of Pennsylvania, studying at the Ackerman Institute for Family in NYC, along with years of experience working in several different environments I observed how the impact of major life transitions can often result in feelings of isolation, depression, anxiety, and panic. Leaving home for college, having a new baby, or a breakup can become a time of emotional turmoil. She has extensive expertise helping clients navigate the unique circumstances and challenges that arise from these specific types of transitions and can help them discover new and effective coping skills and how to utilize their own resources to grow and move forward successfully during these times of stress.

My approach to therapy

Having earned certificates in

•CBT

• Maternal Mental Health

I have developed a positive, solution-focused approach with clients, based on the idea that they already possess many tools for self healing and greater life satisfaction. I employ a combination of cognitive behavioural treatment (CBT), mindfulness, holistic/integrative, and psychodynamic treatment, depending on what the individual needs.

I find a team approach with clients, focusing on the goals while at the same time, creating a warm, caring, and safe environment to be most beneficial.

I never tires of hearing people’s stories and is endlessly motivated to gain a deeper understanding of behaviour and relationship dynamics.

What you can expect from me

In a first time visit it is important to establish goals for therapy and changes one is interested in exploring.
