Great to meet you!

I have been a psychologist for 25 years and love working with young children, teens, and young adults. As a parent of four, I understand the complexities of growing up in today’s world, including social media pressures and busy family lives. My approach is empathic, solution-focused, and collaborative, and I pride myself on appropriately involving parents and caregivers throughout the process. I am a strong advocate for my patients and value working closely with pediatricians, teachers, and school administrators to ensure treatment recommendations are comprehensive, practical, and supported by community resources when needed.

I completed my residency training at Children's Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia and my fellowship training at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. I have extensive experience working with general child/adolescent issues such as ADHD, anxiety, and behavior management), as well as treating medical issues such as needle phobia, pain management, encopresis/enuresis, and adjustment to disability.

My approach to therapy

I provide pediatric psychological services using a short-term, evidence-based approach focused on teaching practical coping skills and strategies that improve daily functioning and overall well-being. My style is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented, working closely with children, adolescents, and families to create clear, achievable treatment plans. By using empirically validated therapies, I help young people build skills they can use long after treatment ends, supporting resilience, confidence, and lasting positive change.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming conversation focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you in. We’ll talk about current concerns, challenges, and relevant history, as well as your hopes and goals for treatment. I’ll take time to answer questions and make sure you feel comfortable throughout the process. By the end of the session, I’ll share my initial impressions and recommendations and discuss next steps, so you leave with clarity, support, and a sense of direction.
