Great to meet you!

You do not have to carry anxiety, depression, trauma, or a hard relationship season alone. I’m Dinesha, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over six years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, families, and groups across community, school-based, nonprofit, private practice, and telehealth settings. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, plus a Masters in Hospital Management. I believe therapy should be a safe space where you can feel heard without judgment, and my goal is to help you recognize patterns affecting your emotional well-being and relationships, then build practical tools for lasting change. Whether you are facing anxiety, self-doubt, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, or a major life transition, I will meet you where you are and support you in building greater selfawareness, confidence, and healthier relationships.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe that every person’s experiences are unique, and therapy should be tailored to your individual needs, strengths, goals, and pace. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable being open and honest about what you are experiencing.

I use an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Humanistic approaches, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and family therapy approaches. I also have training in Brainspotting and Gottman Couples Therapy. Together, we can explore the thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences that may be contributing to your current challenges while developing practical strategies to help you move forward.

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, emotional difficulties, and life transitions. I particularly enjoy helping clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, uncertain about themselves, or unsure of how to move forward. We can work together on building confidence, improving emotional regulation, strengthening communication and relationships, establishing healthy boundaries, and

developing healthier ways of coping with stress.

Most importantly, I believe therapy is a partnership. I am not here to judge you or tell you how you should live your life. I am here to listen, understand, and help you gain greater insight into yourself while supporting you in creating meaningful and lasting change. My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling more empowered, self-aware, and confident in your ability to navigate life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a comfortable, trusting therapeutic relationship. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming or even uncomfortable, so I will meet you where you are and provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe sharing what brings you to therapy.

During our first session, we will talk about what you have been experiencing, what has been challenging for you, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I will also learn about your background, relationships, strengths, and current circumstances so that I can better understand your unique needs and experiences.

Together, we will begin identifying your goals for therapy and discuss areas you would like to work on, whether that involves managing anxiety or depression, improving self-esteem, processing past experiences, strengthening relationships, navigating a life transition, or developing healthier coping and communication skills.

You do not need to have everything figured out before your first session. You can come as you are, and we will work together to determine what feels most helpful for you. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the possibility of positive change.
