Welcome to therapy! My name is Diomarys Nuñez, I am a bilingual, Dominican licensed professional counselor. I obtained my master's in clinical counseling in 2020. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, in both rural and urban settings, with individuals from across the lifespan. I specialize in perinatal mental health, women's issues, and anxiety disorders, along with other mental health challenges.
My approach stems from a feminist approach that emphasizes cultural humility and collaboration. I may be the one with the license to provide services, but I believe that the folks I work with are the experts of their own lives! Together we can address obstacles and outdated patterns and work towards realistic goals and healing.
During our first session, I will do my best to gain a good understanding regarding your reasons for seeking therapy. We will establish rapport and trust by learning a bit about each other. We will vow to take each session one step at a time, as life and healing are never linear.
