Great to meet you!

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about my practice.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with more than 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve meaningful personal growth. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently pursuing my doctoral degree, further expanding my knowledge and commitment to providing effective, evidence-based care.

While I enjoy working with clients across the lifespan and provide counseling services for individuals ages 6 and older, I have a particular passion for supporting high school and college students. These years often bring significant transitions, academic pressures, identity development, relationship challenges, and questions about the future. I enjoy helping young people build resilience, increase self-confidence, and develop the skills needed to thrive both personally and academically.

Whether you are seeking support for stress, anxiety, life transitions, personal growth, relationship concerns, or other emotional challenges, my goal is to provide a collaborative therapeutic experience tailored to your individual needs.

I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward healing, growth, and well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, which means I believe each individual possesses the capacity for growth, healing, and positive change. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore their experiences and develop solutions that align with their unique goals and strengths.

Areas of Specialty: anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, academic stress, young adult issues, behavioral concerns, etc.

What you can expect from me

Beginning counseling can feel like a big step, and it is natural to have questions about what to expect. The first session is designed to help us get to know one another and determine how I can best support you.

During our initial appointment, we will discuss your reasons for seeking counseling, any current challenges you may be experiencing, and your goals for therapy. I will also gather information about your personal history, relationships, emotional well-being, and other areas that may be relevant to your treatment. This process helps me gain a better understanding of your unique experiences and needs.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the counseling process, my therapeutic approach, confidentiality, and anything else that will help you feel comfortable moving forward. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in successful counseling, so our initial meeting is as much about determining whether we are a good fit as it is about gathering information.

As a person-centered counselor, I strive to provide a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel safe sharing your thoughts and experiences at your own pace. Together, we will develop a plan that reflects your goals and helps guide our work moving forward.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, my goal is to ensure that you leave your first session with a clearer understanding of the counseling process and a sense of hope for the journey ahead
