Hello everyone! I'm Dionne! My career has spanned 19 years and counting, starting out as a bedside registered nurse and advancing to be a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. Treating ages 6 years old and older is the age range I focus to help with emphasis on school aged children and adolescents. For the parents seeking help for their kiddos or adults looking to be their best self thank you for taking the first step for prioritizing mental health!

I have experience with treating depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, behavioral difficulties in school and/or home, adjustment disorder, obsessive compulsion disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

A holistic collaborative approach is essential to mental health flexibility and recovery along with psychotherapy, both compliment each other. Understanding the stressors, triggers, stage of life, past, present and social supports play a major part in piecing and creating a comprehensive picture. Incorporating compassion and transparency support forming the foundation of a therapeutic relationship. Though medication management can be helpful I view each client as a unique individual taking into account their goals and preferences.

The first session is an information gathering opportunity regardless if you are new to mental health or previously diagnosed. I strive to create warmth, space for vulnerability, mindfulness, empowerment and advocacy to promote discussing your journey, concerns, struggles and symptoms.
