Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, specializing in Psychiatry and Mental Health. I received my MSN at Northern Kentucky University and am currently completing my doctoral work. Over 20 years in the psychiatric/mental health field has helped me to build a robust foundation in psychiatric care, emphasizing a holistic and patient-centered approach.

My approach to therapy

Driven by a passion for mental health, I believe in empowering patients to reclaim their optimal well-being. This commitment is reflected in my practice philosophy, which focuses on collaboration and open communication. By fostering a nonjudgmental and caring environment, I encourage patients to actively participate in their care, ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to meet individual needs and preferences.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will obtain a thorough mental health, medical and psychosocial history, as well as current symptoms and their effect on the patient's current level of functioning. Together, we will develop a comprehensive treatment plan, tailored to the patient's goals and lifestyle. This includes medication management, if indicated. Based on the assessment, we will discuss initial diagnoses and the patient's medication and therapy needs and set a strong foundation for our subsequent sessions. I encourage open and honest communication during our sessions, so that we can adequately address the patient's mental health concerns and build a therapeutic relationship.
