Great to meet you!

I believe with a little help, you can be your own change.

I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. I have more than 25 years of experience working in the criminal justice, mental health, substance use and addiction fields. I have experience treating children, adolescents, and adults, dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal conflict and co-occurring conditions including addictions.

My approach to therapy

My goals are to provide a safe and open communicative environment for individuals to be able to express and explore their options for a healthy lifestyle. I maintain a relaxed open-minded approach to increasing opportunities for individuals to improve coping skills, social skills and behaviors. I respect and value individuals collaboration in their treatment process, I understands individualism of each client, therefore approaches each client differently. I utilize a space that is comfortable for the client to tie their thoughts, feelings/emotions to their outcomes and behaviors. I am experienced in utilizing various therapy modalities, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Couples Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, and Trauma Recovery Empowerment.

What you can expect from me

I start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your experiences, concerns, needs and what you hope to accomplish in therapy. We will work collaborative on anticipated outcomes and goals for your individualized services. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling safe.
