Great to meet you!

My name is Djuana King and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years in a variety of settings. I have experience working with children, adults, and families in homeless and domestic violence shelters, foster care, schools, and in mental health agencies. I would describe my style of counseling as “laid back.” I’ve learned the more relaxed I am the more comfortable my clients are with me.

My approach to therapy

Working in different settings has afforded me the opportunity to pick up and learn a diverse skill set to guide my clients in the best direction possible. I enjoy using solution focused and CBT in my sessions however, I tailor my sessions for my client’s needs. My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

What you can expect from me

I will guide individuals to change patterns and routines, discover positive and productive communication techniques, and strengthen relationships. Therefore, increasing success at home, school, work, and in their community. I want to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
