Dominique Roberts

My name is Dominique Roberts, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey and New York. I received my Masters of Science in Social Work at Columbia School of Social Work in 2016, specializing in clinical work with those experiencing contemporary social issues. After graduation, I began working with youth and young adults who were justice-involved and living with a substance use disorder. I provided clinical case management and therapeutic support to those navigating the justice system. Soon after, I transitioned to working with adults and older adults coming home from extended incarcerations, providing reentry and therapeutic support.

Currently, I provide trauma-informed care to children, adolescents, and adults who experienced a traumatic events, providing short-term, trauma-informed care to reduce intensity of trauma and depression symptoms.

I am person-centered. I work collaboratively with clients, providing individualized care customized to address your needs and concerns. It is my belief that the client is the expert of their own lives, and I am along on the journey to provide the therapeutic support needed. I prefer to use trauma-informed, psychodynamic, and behavioral approaches to assist with achieving your goals.

Clients can expect to gain a deeper understanding of their presenting problem, improve their coping skills, improve, emotional management, and feel more empowered to navigate day-to-day activities.
