Great to meet you!

It all starts with a good therapist. I know that from experience.

I’m deeply grateful for the therapist who guided, challenged, and held space for my growth. That journey is what inspires the way I show up for others today with compassion, presence, and purpose.

I’m Dr. Dominique Thomas, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia with a Doctorate in Professional Counseling and Supervision. I also hold a Specialist and Master’s degree in School Counseling, along with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.

With over eight years as a Certified School Counselor and Counseling Director, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside teens, young adults, and families as they navigate academic pressure, identity exploration, personal struggles, and complex family dynamics. My background as a mentor and coach brings both structure and encouragement to the therapy space.

Outside the office, I’m a wife and a mom to a college-aged daughter and a preteen son. I know firsthand the shifting roles and emotional demands that come with different life stages, and how vital it is to carve out space for mental and emotional well-being.

I’m especially passionate about closing the mental health gap for teens and adults ages 13 and up. My style is warm, collaborative, and affirming. Whether you're figuring out who you are, managing anxiety or ADHD, navigating relationships, or trying to breathe through life’s demands, I meet you where you are.

Therapy with me is a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be your full self. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back and build tools that help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected. Small shifts can lead to powerful change, and it would be an honor to support you in that journey.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in building trust, connection, and safety. I draw from a mix of person centered, cognitive behavioral, strengths based, and integrative approaches to meet each client where they are.

At the heart of my work is the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful tool for healing. I use Person Centered Therapy to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and valued.

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, especially when working through anxiety, ADHD, or self doubt. I also lean into Strengths Based Therapy to highlight what is already working, helping you build confidence and resilience from the inside out.

Because no two people are the same, I take an Integrative Therapy approach, blending methods to fit your unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. Whether you are navigating identity, relationships, academic stress, or emotional overwhelm, we will work together to create meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from our first session

We’ll talk through what’s been on your mind, explore what brought you here, and begin mapping out what support can look like for you.

My hope is that you leave each session feeling a little lighter, more confident in yourself, and more connected to the version of you that you’re becoming. You can expect a space where you feel safe to speak freely, explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment, and be fully yourself.

Therapy with me is about helping you reconnect with your voice, your power, and your path forward.
