Great to meet you!

I am a gay, Filipino-American. I was raised in a Christian home and, at one point, was a pastor. I found my way back to my initial interest in mental health. I still practice faith, but I am open-minded now. I was trained in a psychodynamic framework given my graduate school was a depth psychology/Jungian school.

My training is in Gestalt, sex addiction, and Brainspotting (a trauma modality). I am experienced in treating addictions, although mainly sexual and some substance/process addiction. I was supervised by two certified sex addiction supervisors (CSAT-S).

I mainly work with adults, both individuals and couples. I treat all orientations and identities. My heart is for queer people who have experienced religious trauma and for couples who are trying to make their relationship thrive. I also work with those who have experienced othering through their skin or sexual orientation.

My approach to therapy

My hope is that you feel instantly safe with me, but also know that I will do whatever I need to earn your trust. I try to keep a casual feel to our sessions as we build our professional relationship. Unconditional positive regard will be with what will be build. I am not afraid to confront, but my purpose is to teach you greater understanding of your internal world through my curiosity and empathy.

What you can expect from me

You will definitely be cared for as my only focus will be you for the hour that we are together. The goal is for you to come away with increased understanding of your internal world. The healing comes through accepting and incorporating what we discover in your unconscious.
