Great to meet you!

I’m Don Phillips, LPC, a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counselor with three years of professional counseling experience. I support individuals from diverse backgrounds as they navigate cultural and ethnic identity concerns, gay, lesbian, and bisexual issues, grief, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, personal growth, and emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

I earned my undergraduate degree in Organizational Management from Claflin University and my degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. My approach is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can speak openly about your experiences and feel supported as you work toward becoming the best version of yourself. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you identify strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and move toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

My goal is simple: to help you better understand yourself, face what’s in front of you, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity. Your story matters. Your growth matters. And you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
