Great to meet you!

Are you feeling overwhelmed with the fast pace of our world today? Could you use a compassionate, understanding ear? Then therapy is a gift you can give yourself! I have training and experience in working with trauma, chronic illness, and women’s issues. I truly believe that you are the expert in your life! I see myself as a partner and support, encouraging you to achieve your goals.

I was drawn to become a therapist because I love to help and encourage others. I know firsthand the relief and comfort it is to have someone encouraging me and partnering with me through life’s challenges. I want to be that for you!

I have been practicing as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2007. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino in 2001 and have worked in the foster family field, in community mental health, and in private practice. I do not currently provide couples therapy or family therapy and am only scheduling with individuals.

My approach to therapy

I am currently providing individual therapy and use such modalities as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, chronic illness (specifically autoimmune issues), grief, and life transitions. At this time I do not provide couples therapy or family therapy.

What you can expect from me

My focus is providing individual therapy to those who are attempting to find inner peace and healing and who want to make positive changes in their lives. I understand how isolating and frustrating it can feel when one is struggling. I want to be a support and encouragement to you! I believe that we all grow and thrive with support, encouragement, and validation and I strive to provide a warm and accepting environment for my clients. I want to celebrate with you as you overcome obstacles and create the life that you desire, one that includes healthy relationships, self-acceptance, and peace.
