Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Donald! If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression or grief, struggling with relationships, or carrying the effects of painful experiences from your past, you don’t have to work through it all alone. Maybe stress has become a constant companion, you feel stuck in patterns you can’t seem to change, or life simply doesn’t feel as manageable or fulfilling as you want it to. With 23 years of experience as a therapist, I work with adults and seniors who are looking for support, clarity, and practical ways to move forward. My goal is to offer a warm, supportive space where you can speak openly about what’s happening in your life, better understand yourself, and begin making meaningful changes at a pace that feels right for you.

Over the past 23 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through many different seasons of life. My work focuses on helping adults and seniors navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, family challenges, men’s issues, and the stress that can build when life feels uncertain or overwhelming. I understand that these struggles rarely exist in isolation, stress can affect relationships, loss can change how you see yourself, and past experiences can continue shaping the present. My role is to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing while identifying realistic, meaningful steps toward feeling more grounded, confident, and connected to the life you want to live.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, empowering, and solution-oriented. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership rather than a one-size-fits-all process. Depending on your needs and goals, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, strength-based approaches, and practical problem-solving strategies. While these methods provide helpful tools, our work will always center on you as a person—not a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in your way, recognize the strengths you already have, and build practical strategies that fit your real life. I’ll support and encourage you while also helping you look at challenges from new perspectives that can create meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel uncertain, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own or aren’t sure where to begin. You don’t need to arrive with the perfect words or a clear plan. Sessions with me are meant to feel like real conversations, comfortable, respectful, and focused on what matters most to you. You can expect a space where you feel heard without judgment and supported without pressure. We’ll work together to understand the patterns, experiences, and emotions that may be keeping you stuck while also focusing on practical ways to create change. Over time, therapy can help you feel more confident in how you handle stress, more connected to yourself and others, and clearer about what you need moving forward. You deserve a place where you can be honest, feel understood, and work toward a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.
