Great to meet you!

About Me

I am a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare. For over a decade, I have had the privilege of serving the Manitowoc and Sheboygan communities through Lakeshore Community Health, now Noble Community Clinics, providing comprehensive care in both primary care and behavioral health settings.

My clinical passion lies in helping individuals struggling with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and the effects of trauma. I have extensive experience providing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including Suboxone and Vivitrol, and I am committed to supporting patients through recovery with a compassionate, structured, and evidence-based approach.

I believe healthcare should focus on the whole person—not just symptoms or diagnoses. Physical health, mental wellness, emotional well-being, lifestyle habits, and environmental factors all play an important role in overall health. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their care.

As the founder of Mind & Body Renew, I combine traditional medicine with functional and integrative approaches to help identify and address the root causes of illness. I am passionate about partnering with patients to create individualized treatment plans that promote healing, long-term wellness, and a better quality of life.

Originally from Texas, I moved to Wisconsin in 1999 after my marriage and have proudly called this community home ever since. My husband and I have raised four wonderful children and are blessed with nine grandchildren who bring tremendous joy to our lives. When I am not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and spoiling our two beloved fur babies.

I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward better health, healing, and renewal.

My approach to therapy

My approach to mental health is rooted in compassion, respect, and whole-person care. I believe that mental health is influenced by biological, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors, and that lasting healing requires addressing each of these areas. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard and understood. Through collaboration, education, evidence-based treatment, and practical tools for daily life, I help individuals build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and move toward their personal goals with confidence and hope.

What you can expect from me

What to Expect During Your First Visit

Your first visit is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a partnership focused on your health and wellness goals. I take a comprehensive approach and will spend time listening to your concerns, reviewing your medical and mental health history, discussing current symptoms, medications, lifestyle factors, and any previous treatments you have received.

Depending on your needs, we may discuss nutrition, sleep, stress, exercise, relationships, past trauma, substance use, laboratory testing, and other factors that may be contributing to your symptoms. My goal is to understand the whole picture, not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms.

Together, we will develop an individualized plan of care that aligns with your goals and priorities. This may include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, functional medicine testing, nutritional support, counseling referrals, or other evidence-based interventions.

Please understand that the first visit is primarily focused on gathering information and creating a thoughtful treatment plan. While some concerns can be addressed immediately, complex or long-standing issues often require a step-by-step approach and may take time to fully evaluate and treat.

I strive to provide a supportive, judgment-free environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in your health journey.
