Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kim (Donna Kim), and I believe that life is all about balance. Life can be confusing, challenging, and downright overwhelming at times. If you're feeling stuck, stressed, or unsure of your next step, you're not alone. Sometimes, we just need a little help finding the right balance—and I’d love to support you on that journey. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations both in the U.S. and abroad. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how unique and complex each person’s challenges can be. That’s why I believe in a collaborative approach—working together as a team.

I earned my graduate degree in Human Development and Counseling from Radford University and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, person-centered therapy, and narrative therapy, I tailor treatment to meet your unique needs. No matter where you are on your path, you don’t have to walk it alone.

Therapy offers a safe space where you can be heard without judgment. Having an unbiased, professional perspective can make all the difference in finding clarity and moving forward. I know this firsthand—because I was once in your shoes. My own experience with therapy was so impactful that it inspired me to dedicate my career to helping others.

My approach to therapy

My methodology combines CBT, person-centered and solution-focused approaches to recognize and meet challenges to achieve your goals. As a collaborative team, we will explore thought processes, foster strengths and create feasible solutions for a more balanced life all in an encouraging, safe space to facilitate growth, problem solving skills and self-assurance.

What you can expect from me

I work with individuals, couples and families who may be struggling with stress, anxiety, trauma, depression and/or communication issues that may have a significant impact on their relationships. Therapy is teamwork with intellectual and emotional investment from all involved. Let's work together to enhance strengths and solutions to identified concerns/issues.
