Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 10 years of experience supporting individuals and families through stress, anxiety, life transitions, health challenges, and difficult circumstances. My background includes outpatient therapy and extensive medical social work, where I’ve helped people navigate both everyday challenges and significant life disruptions. I currently work in pediatric healthcare, providing clinical support while also serving as a Clinical Social Work Educator. I bring a warm, practical, and nonjudgmental approach to therapy, with the belief that you don’t have to have everything figured out before asking for support. My goal is to help you better understand what you’re experiencing, build on your strengths, and identify meaningful steps forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be collaborative, individualized, and practical rather than a place where someone simply tells you what to do. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches depending on what fits your needs and goals. We’ll look at the patterns, circumstances, and relationships that may be affecting how you feel while also focusing on what is within your control. I want you to feel heard and understood while also gaining tools and perspectives you can actually use in your life. Most importantly, I want therapy to be a space where you can be honest, respected, and supported without judgment.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for me to understand what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope will be different. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, and any previous experiences with therapy or other forms of support. You don’t need to arrive with perfectly defined goals or know exactly what to say—we can figure that out together. I’ll also explain how I work and answer any questions you have about the therapy process. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you feel heard, have a clearer sense of where we can begin, and feel comfortable moving forward together.
