Great to meet you!

Most of my clients are people who've spent a long time managing life on their own. They're smart, capable, and strong, and they're tired. I work primarily with adults, particularly Black women and women of color, who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, grief, trauma, or the weight of holding everything together while the world keeps moving. I bring over 15 years of experience to this work, and I hold cultural context - not as a box to check, but as something central to how I practice. For Black clients and women of color, that context shapes everything: the systems you navigate, the identities you carry, the things you don't always get to say out loud. I see all of it. I'm a New York LCSW, Fordham-trained, offering virtual sessions statewide. I accept Aetna, Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Horizon, Carelon, and Independence Blue Cross.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and genuinely tailored to you - not a one-size-fits-all template. I draw from psychodynamic work to help you understand the patterns that live beneath the surface, CBT to shift the thoughts and habits keeping you stuck, and mindfulness to help you stay grounded when the noise gets loud. I use what actually fits you, and we'll figure that out together. The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of everything I do. Clients often tell me they can finally say the thing they've never said out loud - that's the kind of space I work to create, every session.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a real conversation where we begin getting to know each other. This is an opportunity for you to share what’s bringing you to therapy, any concerns or challenges you’re currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the process.

I'll also share a bit about how I work and what our sessions could look like, so you leave with a clear sense of whether this feels like the right fit. The first session is as much for you to figure that out as it is for me. Come as you are - there's no right way to start.
