Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Donna Vishnevetsky and I am a double board certified psychiatrist in adult and child & adolescent psychiatry with 16 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults of diverse backgrounds treating a wide array of mental health conditions. My practice includes medication management, diagnostic assessment, treatment planning and supportive psychotherapy.

I am currently focusing my practice on treating adults and love working with young adults going through life or academic transitions or coping with grief, anxiety, trauma, or depression. Because of my child psychiatry experience I have expertise in treating ADHD throughout the lifespan and also have a background in developmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered, holistic, and trauma informed. I love working collaboratively with patients on a treatment plan. I believe in being extremely thorough and thoughtful in regard to prescribing or de-prescribing medication when necessary and incorporating all aspects of your health into developing a diagnostic and treatment plan. I enjoy working with patients who have struggled to find appropriate or effective treatments in the past and figuring out the best plan for them

What you can expect from me

Patients tell me I am very easy to talk to and provide a safe and non-judgmental space. I am very inquisitive and thorough; for most patients this makes them feel that they are cared for and their concerns are taken seriously. This does mean that I will ask a lot of detailed questions. I am also very collaborative and not paternalistic. I want you to be as invested and involved in decision making as I am. I will never tell you what to do without taking your point of view into account.
