Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Mental Health On Purpose Inc., I bring over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most difficult transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I specialize in helping adults manage mood disorders, trauma, grief, addiction recovery, and relationship concerns, always striving to create a safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.

Throughout my work whether in correctional settings, community mental health, or private practice I’ve remained committed to reducing stigma and expanding access to quality mental health care. I believe therapy should empower clients to reclaim their voice, identify their strengths, and find meaning even in painful experiences. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, or just seeking clarity and direction, I’m here to walk with you, on purpose.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, strengths-based, and deeply grounded in meeting each client where they are in their journey. I incorporate the Transtheoretical Model of Change, recognizing that healing and growth occur in stages and that progress is not always linear. Whether a client is contemplating change, actively working toward it, or simply seeking to be heard, I create a space where they feel respected, empowered, and free to show up as their authentic selves.

Rooted in the mission of Mental Health On Purpose Inc., my work is driven by a commitment to destigmatize mental health and promote access to compassionate, intentional care. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities including CBT, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing while honoring the lived experience and cultural context of each individual. Above all, I believe in walking alongside clients with humility, purpose, and a deep respect for their capacity to grow, heal, and transform.

What you can expect from me

When we meet, my first priority is to create a space where you feel safe to be real no judgment, no pressure to have it all figured out. We’ll start by building awareness, looking at what’s really going on beneath the surface. From there, we’ll work toward insight, connecting the dots between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and how they may be impacting your life and relationships.

Once we’ve laid that foundation, we’ll begin learning and practicing concrete skills and tools that you can actually use in your daily life to manage stress, improve communication, set boundaries, and navigate challenges with more confidence. My goal isn’t just to help you feel better in the moment, but to support you in building a life that feels more stable, more honest, and more in line with who you want to be. We’ll take it one step at a time on purpose, and together.
