Great to meet you!

Dorcia is a certified mental health nurse practitioner with a family nurse practitioner degree. She is deeply committed to providing high-quality, empathetic, and thorough mental health support to teenagers and adults.

I have excellent clinical abilities, coupled with a natural talent for connecting with patients and their families. I utilizes guidelines based on research, combined with my clinical knowledge, personal insights, and intuition. In my role as a mental health nurse practitioner, I have many responsibilities, such as teaching, supporting mental health, providing therapy, and engaging in teaching my patients about medication adherence. As part of my teaching role, I believe in the importance of working across different fields and collaborating with other professionals to ensure a patient-centered approach to health and wellness.

I consistently support new ideas in the healthcare sector and education related to healthcare. Some areas I am particularly interested in are always advocating for innovations in healthcare and healthcare education. Some of my interests include behavioral health integration, substance use disorder and mental health, trauma-informed care, burnout prevention, and psychotherapy.
