Great to meet you!
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
I am a child, adolescent and adult psychotherapist with over 35 years of experience working individually, in groups, and with families. Guiding parents and working on relationships and emotional potential.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in my native country, Mexico, before completing a five-year psychoanalytic graduate training program at the Ana Freud Centre in London, U.K. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psycho-Pedagogy and a Master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy.
I have trained in group therapy and worked in art therapy.
My professional experience includes working in a children’s hospital, international schools in Europe, and private practice with adults, children and adolescents. I have collaborated with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, including early childhood specialists, special education and classroom teachers, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists.
Having lived in several countries before moving to the U.S., I had the opportunity to work with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, and nationalities. I am fluent in five languages, a skill that has enriched both my professional and personal life, enhancing my ability to connect with clients.
I value the relational aspect of my work above all else.
